After a long absence from the film industry, actor Rajat Bedi has made a comeback after two decades. His role as Jayraj Saxena in the series ‘Baddies of Bollywood’, directed by Aaryan Khan, has made him the center of attention on social media overnight.
This series marks his first major return and has catapulted him from #954 to #9 on IMDb’s ranking of Indian stars. Bedi revealed that he tried to portray a story of real-life struggles through his character, which has deeply resonated with the audience.
The actor shared that he received this opportunity after returning to Mumbai from Canada two years ago. He said, “I patiently waited for 15–20 years for the right opportunity. This proves that if you stay patient, the right opportunity comes at the right time.”
Bedi also mentioned that his character is not only a favorite among viewers but also cherished by Aaryan, Shah Rukh, and Suhana Khan. The character is expected to appear on an even larger scale in the next season.
Rajat Bedi began his acting career in 1998 with the film ‘Do Hazaar Ek’ and has since acted in series and films such as ‘Hum Rahi’, ‘Aahat’, ‘Koi Mil Gaya’, ‘Rakht’, ‘Khamosh Ki Raat’, and ‘Rocky—The Rebel’.
His significant leap in IMDb rankings, along with the prominence of series director Aaryan Khan, highlights that a strong comeback is possible even after two decades.
