Rajshahi University’s (Rabi) admission test for the 2025-26 academic year may be held earlier than scheduled due to the upcoming national elections and Ramadan. Discussions with relevant faculty members indicate that the preliminary plan is to start the exam on January 16 next year.

This information was confirmed on Saturday (October 4) after speaking with key members of the admission test committee. According to the teachers, because the national elections will be held in February followed by Ramadan, the university administration is considering completing the exams quickly.

The administration has tentatively planned the following dates:

  • January 16: ‘A’ Unit (Humanities)

  • January 17: ‘B’ Unit (Business Studies)

  • January 23: ‘C’ Unit (Science)

Several teachers, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated, “Since the national elections will be held in February and Ramadan will follow, the admission test is being planned for January this year. If all goes as planned, the exams will start on January 16.” They also confirmed that preliminary preparations are underway around these three dates.
