Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) have reached the Champions League final for the second consecutive season after defeating Bayern Munich in the semifinal. Although the second leg in Munich ended in a 1-1 draw, PSG advanced with a 6-5 aggregate victory over the German giants.

Earlier, in the first leg held in Paris, PSG won a high-scoring thriller 5-4, which ultimately proved decisive in securing their place in the final.

In Wednesday night’s return leg at the Allianz Arena, PSG took an early lead. In the third minute, Ousmane Dembélé finished clinically from a pass by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia after a quick counterattack. This was Dembélé’s eighth goal of the current Champions League campaign.

After conceding early, Bayern Munich tried to fight back. In the first half, Michael Olise and Jamal Musiala created chances, but they failed to score. PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov made several crucial saves to keep his team ahead.

In the second half, Bayern continued their attacking pressure. However, PSG’s defense and goalkeeper stood strong, frustrating the hosts throughout the match.

In the fourth minute of added time, Alphonso Davies assisted Harry Kane, who scored to equalize the match at 1-1. However, the goal was not enough for Bayern to overturn the aggregate deficit.

After the final whistle, PSG players celebrated wildly as they secured a place in the Champions League final for the second year in a row. The club’s supporters also erupted in joy following the historic qualification.

The Champions League final will take place on May 30 at the Puskás Arena in Budapest, Hungary. PSG will face English club Arsenal, who have reached the final after 20 years.
