Pakistani Band ‘Kavish’ Concert in Dhaka Canceled at Last Minute

The Pakistani band ‘Kavish’ was unable to perform their Dhaka concert at the last minute. Despite all preparations by the organizer Prime Web Communications, the venue approval was not secured late Thursday night, forcing the band to return without performing.

Kavish arrived in Dhaka early Thursday for the “Wave Fest: Feel the Winter” concert. Other Bangladeshi bands, including ‘Shironamhin’ and ‘Meghdol,’ were also scheduled to perform.

The organizers explained that despite maximum efforts, last-minute permission was not granted, disappointing fans and causing financial losses. The concert was scheduled from 5 PM to 10:30 PM on Friday. Kavish had previously performed in Dhaka in January for the ‘Dhaka Dreams’ concert. Known for songs like “Bachpan” and “Tere Pyar Mein,” Kavish is familiar to audiences in Bangladesh and India. Formed in 1998 by Zafar Zaidi and Maj Maudud, the semi-classical band has gained lasting recognition.
