OpenAI to Launch Standalone App for ‘Sora 2’ Video AI

OpenAI is planning to release a standalone mobile app for its new video generation AI model, Sora 2, according to a report by WIRED. The app will feature a vertical video feed, swipe-to-scroll functionality, and a “For You”-style page that organizes content based on user interests.

All video content in the app will be entirely AI-generated, and users will have the ability to like, comment on, or remix videos through a right-side menu bar. The experience is expected to resemble TikTok, but all videos will be created using artificial intelligence.

Developers hope the app will open new horizons for AI-based content creation and sharing.
