MPO Appeal Hearing on October 7, 36 Teachers and Officials Called

The Ministry of Education has scheduled October 7 for the hearing of appeals related to the MPO enlistment of teachers, officers and employees of private educational institutions, payment of outstanding salaries and allowances, and the suspension and reinstatement of MPO benefits. On that day, the appeal committee will hear cases involving 36 teachers, officers and employees.

A notice in this regard was published on Sunday (October 4) by the Private Secondary-3 Branch of the Dhaka Education Board. The notice was signed by Senior Assistant Secretary Shirin Akter.

According to the notice, the meeting of the appeal committee formed under Article 20.1(c) of the Private Educational Institutions (Schools and Colleges) Manpower Structure and MPO Policy-2025 will be held at 10:00am on October 7 in the conference room on the sixth floor of Building-3 of the Dhaka Education Board.

During the meeting, the committee will examine various documents related to the appointments and employment of the concerned teachers, officers and employees. Based on these documents, hearings will be conducted to decide on MPO enlistment, payment of outstanding dues, suspension of MPO benefits or their reinstatement.

The hearing will cover principals, vice-principals, lecturers, head teachers, assistant head teachers, assistant teachers and female teachers of private educational institutions. The cases of individuals serving as assistant librarians, office assistants, office support staff and attendants will also be considered during the hearing.

The notice instructed the concerned individuals to attend the hearing at the scheduled time. They have also been asked to prepare and bring the necessary documents in support of their statements and claims.

In this regard, they have been instructed to bring applications submitted to the Joint Secretary of the Secondary-2 Wing of the Secondary and Higher Education Division, along with the index and other relevant documents. The applicants’ claims and information related to their appointments will be verified on the basis of these documents.
