The Ministry of Education has issued instructions to provide updated information on the joining and MPO (Monthly Pay Order) status of teachers recommended in the 6th Gazette of 2025 in MPO-listed educational institutions through the Non-Government Teacher Registration & Certification Authority (NTRCA).
The directive was issued on Tuesday (January 13) in a notice signed by Hure Jannat, Deputy Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education. The notice was sent to the Director General (additional responsibility) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).
The notice states that a total of 41,627 teachers were recommended for appointment in MPO-listed private educational institutions under NTRCA’s 6th Gazette. The Ministry has requested detailed information on how many of these recommended teachers have joined their respective institutions, who could not join, and whether there are any difficulties in appointment.
Additionally, the Ministry has instructed to send separate information on teachers who have joined but have not yet received MPO, including their names, designations, and institution details.
On January 7, a consultation meeting was held between the DSHE regional office deputy directors and the Ministry of Education. During the meeting, a review of the actual joining and MPO situation of teachers appointed under the 6th Gazette was conducted, which led to the issuance of this directive.
Education officials believe that this initiative will make it easier to identify long-standing MPO issues and create a faster path to resolve them.
