LPG Prices Reduced Again; New Price for 12kg Cylinder Set at 1,241 Taka

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for consumers has been reduced again. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has set the new price for a 12kg cylinder at 1,241 Taka for October, which is 29 Taka lower than the previous month.

According to a BERC notification, the new price came into effect from 6:00 PM on Tuesday (October 7). Previously, in September, the price of a 12kg cylinder was set at 1,270 Taka, while in August it was 1,273 Taka.

In addition to household consumers, the price of autogas used as vehicle fuel has also been adjusted in recent months. In August, the price of autogas per liter was reduced by 4.18 Taka to 58.28 Taka, compared to 62.46 Taka in July.

BERC stated that these adjustments were made to ensure consumer benefits and market stability in light of changes in international LPG and autogas prices.
