Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC received the “Excellence in Islamic Banking Cards” Award

Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC earned special recognition in the category of “Excellence in Islamic Banking Cards” for issuing the highest number of Visa-branded debit cards among Islamic banks in the country.

The award was presented at the Visa Leadership Conclave 2025 held in Dhaka. Ahsan H Mansur, Governor of Bangladesh Bank, delivered the keynote speech as the chief guest.

Arief Hossain Khan, Executive Director of Bangladesh Bank and special guest of the event, handed over the award to M Kamal Uddin Jasim, Deputy Managing Director of Islami Bank.

Sandeep Ghosh, Country Manager for South Asia and India at Visa; Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager for Bangladesh, Nepal, and Bhutan; Md. Maznuzzaman, Head of Business Promotion and Marketing Division; and Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Head of Digital Banking Wing of Islami Bank, along with other officials and representatives, were also present.

This achievement is expected to further strengthen Islami Bank’s commitment to enhancing customer service quality and its contribution to the country’s economic development through digital payment services.
