India's Gujarat state has repatriated 250 alleged illegal Bangladeshi nationals to Bangladesh under strict security arrangements. India TV reported that their repatriation was completed using a special Indian Air Force aircraft from the Vadodara airbase.
Rigorous security measures were implemented to ensure safe repatriation. According to sources, all Bangladeshi citizens were handcuffed during the transfer to prevent any untoward incidents. They were brought to the airport by bus under police escort from various locations in Gujarat.
This measure is reportedly part of a larger operation against alleged illegal Bangladeshi immigrants residing in Gujarat. Over the past two months, more than 1,200 Bangladeshi citizens living illegally in Gujarat have been identified and expelled. The Gujarat government, in coordination with central security agencies, has intensified its drive to expel all illegal foreign nationals.
