Bangladesh’s foreign exchange reserves have shown positive growth. According to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank, the country’s total reserves now stand at $32.57 billion.
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and spokesperson Arif Hossain Khan confirmed that as of December 18, the gross reserves were $32,573.31 million. Using IMF’s BPM6 methodology, the reserves amount to $27,875.70 million.
On December 17, gross reserves were $32,482.88 million, with BPM6 reserves at $27,817.86 million. Both methods show an increase in reserves within a day.
Bangladesh Bank officials believe this trend indicates positive prospects for the country’s foreign transactions and financial stability.
