One of the most exciting matches in Spain’s football history, El Clasico, lived up to its reputation this season. Real Madrid won 2-1, but the match was packed with tension and drama from start to finish. The pre-match comment by Barcelona’s young star Lamine Yamal, “Real Madrid steals and complains,” had already stirred anticipation. The excitement intensified when Yamal touched the ball, prompting cheers from the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium crowd.

Even after Real Madrid’s 2-1 victory, the tension didn’t subside. Just before the final whistle, referee César Soto Grado issued a red card to Barcelona midfielder Pedri. The situation escalated in the dugout when Real Madrid player Aurélien Tchouaméni received a second yellow card and was sent off. His first yellow had come for fouling Vinícius Jr.

The dugout turned heated as Vinícius Jr. and Yamal exchanged words. Real Madrid’s Carvajal pointed at Yamal, saying, “You talk too much, let’s see now!” Yamal advanced, but Real midfielder Eduardo Camavinga intervened. Soon, players from both teams got involved in a scuffle. Vinícius made some aggressive remarks to Yamal: “What’s going on! You didn’t do anything but pass back to your defenders.”

According to the referee’s report, six players received yellow cards and one player a direct red card in the chaos. The yellow-carded players were Vinícius Jr., Ferran Torres, Alejandro Balde, Fermin Lopez, Rodrigo, and Éder Militão. Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin was shown a direct red card.

Despite attempts to calm Yamal near the end, Carvajal’s heated response further fueled the tension. According to coach Hans-Dieter Flick, Yamal was a key tactical focus against Real Madrid, but with Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski absent, Yamal could only manage two shots and create two chances in the 90-minute match.

Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong commented on the intensity: “I didn’t see exactly what happened, just saw a crowd gathered. After the referee blew the whistle, Real Madrid players rushed toward Lamine, which was a bit excessive. They should be asked about it themselves.”

This El Clasico turned into an unforgettable spectacle, proving that the match’s drama can transcend the final score and remain memorable in the football world.
