Disney has once again announced a price increase for its popular streaming platforms, Disney+ and Hulu. Starting October 21, the monthly and annual subscription costs for various plans and bundles will rise.
The Disney+ standalone plan with ads will increase by $2 to $11.99 per month, while the ad-free premium plan will rise by $3 to $18.99 per month. The annual premium plan will increase by $30, reaching $189.99 per year.
For Hulu, the standalone plan with ads will rise from $9.99 to $11.99, while the ad-free premium plan remains at $18.99. Additionally, the ESPN+ monthly subscription will increase from $11.99 to $12.99.
The Disney+ and Hulu ad-supported bundle will now cost $12.99 per month, and the Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ ad-supported bundle will be $19.99 per month.
This price increase comes after Disney+ subscribers recently protested by canceling their subscriptions following the temporary removal of Jimmy Kimmel from promotion.
Disney+ initially launched in 2019 at $6.99 per month and has gradually increased its prices over time, similar to other streaming platforms. The last price hike was announced in October 2024.
