‘Dhurandhar’ Crosses 3 Billion INR Worldwide in Seven Days

Aditya Dhar’s action-thriller film Dhurandhar achieved massive box office success within just seven days of release. The film earned over 2 billion INR in India and 3 billion INR globally.

Despite limited promotional activities, word-of-mouth publicity has driven the film’s success. With a budget of 2.8 billion INR, the film has already recovered its production costs and is on a profitable path. Analysts note that the box office performance exceeds initial expectations.

According to trade portal Sacnilk, the film earned 270 million INR on its seventh day in India, bringing the domestic total to 2.0725 billion INR. Although earnings dipped on the first Monday, they rose 16% the following day. Even on weekdays, night shows saw around 60% occupancy.

The foreign market also responded well, with earnings of 570.5 million INR, bringing the worldwide total to 3.0625 billion INR. The film has surpassed popular films like Sitaare Zameen Par, Thama, Sikandar, and Housefull 5.

Alongside Ranbir Singh, the cast includes Akshay Khanna, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, Madhavan, Soumya Tandon, and Rakesh Bedi. Akshay Khanna’s portrayal of the gangster Rahman has been highly praised, and Ranbir Singh’s role as the spy Hamza Ali Mazari has also received acclaim.

Trade experts believe that the box office success will continue into the second week.
