A strange and controversial graffiti has appeared on the wall of Dhaka University Central Students’ Organization (DUCSO). Large letters read, “32 Killers’ Den,” sparking heated debate among students.

Some students argue that the DUCSO wall is not a place for personal or political expression and that provocative or controversial writings could destabilize the university environment.

Opinions differ on the meaning of the text. One group claims it refers to labeling the Dhanmondi 32 house in the Bangabandhu assassination case as “killers.” Another group says the graffiti describes the house itself as a “den of killers.”

DUCSO Cultural Secretary Mosaddeq Ali Ibn Muhammad stated, “We are monitoring the matter, including who wrote it, why, and for what purpose. The text could have two interpretations: either labeling DUCSO as the den of 32 killers or portraying the Dhanmondi 32 house as a den of killers.”

DUCSO member Md. Miftahul Hossain Al Maruf added, “The graffiti reflects the intent of those who attempted to attack the Dhanmondi 32 house. Similar writings have been seen across the campus, but the author(s) remain unknown.”

The controversial graffiti has sparked lively discussion among Dhaka University students, and administrative monitoring and caution have increased.
