Comilla Madrasa Principal Arrested Over Alleged Rape of Two Students

Md. Ibrahim Khalil (30), the founder and head teacher of the Kangshnagar Markazut Tahfiz International Hifz Madrasa in the Burichang Upazila of Cumilla, has been accused of raping two of his students. When the incident came to light, local people assaulted him before handing him over to the police.

Subsequently, the victims' father filed a case under the Women and Children Repression Prevention Act. Burichang Police Station's Officer-in-Charge (OC) Azizul Haque has confirmed the authenticity of the case. According to police sources, on August 25 at 11 PM, after the madrasa students had gone to sleep, Ibrahim Khalil allegedly called them to his office room under the pretext of a body massage before forcefully sodomizing them.

OC Azizul Haque stated that the accused had a previous rape case filed against him in the Debidwar Police Station. He has been sent to jail through the court.
