Bomb Threat at Thalapathi Vijay’s House Ahead of Assembly Elections

South Indian actor-politician Thalapathi Vijay has been in the spotlight ahead of the upcoming assembly elections on the 26th. Recently, his public rally turned chaotic, leaving many injured, which has already caused a stir. Amid this tense situation, on Thursday, Vijay received a bomb threat targeting his residence. According to The Hindu, the threat came via email, claiming that a bomb had been placed at his house in Nilankarai.

Following the alert, the bomb squad rushed to the location and conducted a thorough search of the area. No explosives were found, and the police later confirmed it was a false threat. Vijay has not yet commented on the incident.

After the bomb scare, the Tamil Nadu Police tightened security around the home of the Tamilaga Vaettri Kazhagam party leader. A large police contingent has been deployed outside the residence. Notably, other South Indian film stars, including Nayanthara and Trisha, have also recently received bomb threats.

Earlier, Vijay had expressed deep sorrow over the injuries and deaths at his rally. On social media platform X, he wrote: “My heart is broken; I am overwhelmed with grief and pain. I extend my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and wish a speedy recovery to those hospitalized.”
