PNN Sports Desk: In a thrilling contest at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, Bangladesh leveled the three-match ODI series 1–1 by defeating Sri Lanka by 16 runs. Defending a target of 249, Bangladesh bowled Sri Lanka out for 232 in 48.5 overs, securing a hard-fought victory.

The star of the match was undoubtedly left-arm spinner Tanvir Islam, who delivered a career-best performance, claiming 5 wickets and earning the Player of the Match award.

With this, he also broke Abdur Razzak’s long-standing record for the best bowling figures by a Bangladeshi against Sri Lanka in ODIs. Razzak had taken 5 for 62 in Pallekele back in 2013.
