Allegation of Attack on NCP Leader Nasiruddin Patwari’s Vehicle Convoy in Benapole, Four Injured

Allegations have been made that the vehicle convoy of National Citizens Party (NCP) chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari was attacked and pelted with eggs in Benapole. The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon while returning after inspecting the border area, according to party claims.

At least four activists were injured and several vehicles in the convoy were damaged.

According to party sources, Nasiruddin Patwari visited the Sadipur border area in Benapole in the morning to inspect border conditions and alleged “push-in” incidents. Central and local leaders accompanied him.

While returning, unidentified individuals allegedly threw eggs at the convoy. Later, near Benapole market, a direct attack on the convoy took place, injuring several student and youth wing leaders.

Among the injured were student wing leader Khan Miftahul Mostafiz Amit, Taskin Ahmed Tajim, and youth wing leader Rupam Ahsan Arnob.

NCP central committee member Khalid Saifullah alleged that their activists were targeted during the return journey, injuring several and damaging vehicles.

However, the party stated that Nasiruddin Patwari, along with joint member secretary Faridul Haque and other central leaders, remained safe.

Earlier, while speaking to journalists at the border area, Patwari expressed concern over alleged attacks on Bangladeshi citizens and “push-in” incidents. He called for stronger border security and urged local people to inform law enforcement if suspicious activities are seen.

Benapole Port Police Station OC Mohammad Ashraf Hossain said that Patwari left the area safely after the border visit but did not comment further on the alleged attack.

After the incident, Patwari posted images of a damaged vehicle on social media, claiming that their convoy was attacked after the inspection.

No official investigation update regarding the incident was immediately available, but it has sparked political debate and tension in the local area.
