Meanwhile, Hamas has handed over the body of another deceased Israeli captive. However, Israel claims that the bodies handed over do not belong to any of the 13 living captives. Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir blamed Hamas, saying they are “playing games” and that Israel must completely destroy them. He stated, “We are no longer thinking about ‘ransom’ from Hamas; their very existence must be entirely destroyed.”
Near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, 72 bodies have been discovered. These bodies had been buried nearly a year ago, but only five have been identified so far. The remaining bodies have been numbered and sent to Al-Shifa Hospital for final identification.
In another incident, Israeli forces destroyed two Palestinian homes in the Shuqba village near Ramallah in the West Bank. During the demolition, Israeli forces attacked journalists and used tear gas, according to local media sources.
A spokesperson for Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza reported that over 70,000 people in Gaza are infected with Hepatitis C, many of whom need urgent treatment elsewhere. He stated, “We demand the border be opened to prevent the spread of this epidemic within Gaza.”
Both BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami have expressed concern over Israel’s attacks and the associated human rights violations against Palestinians. BNP has stated that, ahead of the upcoming national parliament elections, necessary measures will be taken to protect citizens’ rights, and the government must ensure a fair election environment for all political parties.
Professor Sami Al-Arian noted that Palestinians are still not receiving the promised humanitarian aid, and the international community has not held Israel accountable for its actions. He added, “Residents of Gaza are still facing a severe food crisis, which continues due to Israeli policies.”
