International Desk | PNN:
American conservative activist and close political ally of former President Donald Trump, Charlie Kirk, was killed in a terrorist attack. The incident occurred on Wednesday night local time during a debate held at Utah Valley University in the state of Utah.

According to eyewitnesses, a gunman fired a round from the university’s rooftop. Video footage shows Kirk clutching his neck and collapsing to the ground immediately after being shot. The bullet struck the left side of his neck, and hospital officials confirmed that he died on the spot.

The incident caused widespread panic, and law enforcement surrounded the university campus. Authorities are conducting a manhunt for the suspect and are investigating the case as a targeted assassination.

Charlie Kirk played a key role in promoting conservative politics among the younger generation in the United States. Recently, he visited Asia and sparked discussion with his anti-immigration remarks in South Korea and Japan.

Following the attack, even his political opponents expressed condolences. Democratic Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley said, “Despite political differences, he was someone’s son, husband, and father of two children. This killing is deeply tragic.”

Memorials and prayer events have been organized across various states. Thousands of people in Salt Lake City, Utah; Phoenix, Arizona; and other locations lit candles to honor Charlie Kirk’s memory.
