Swedish AI Startup ‘Lovable’ Becomes Europe’s Fastest-Growing Unicorn in Just Eight Months, Valued at $180 Million

At the TechBBQ conference in Copenhagen, Anton Ossika, co-founder of the ‘Lovable’ app, shared the startup’s rapid success story. The AI startup, which helps users create apps and websites without coding experience, surpassed $100 million in annual revenue in just eight months and raised $200 million in Series A funding, giving the company a valuation of $180 million.

‘Lovable’ enables users to generate code, websites, or entire applications using AI models. Ossika stated that the company’s goal is to help users skip all the steps of product development, allowing them to build AI-native companies.

Currently, the platform has 23 million active users, including 180,000 paying customers. The company leverages foundation models such as Anthropic’s Cloud and OpenAI’s GPT-5. Ossika added, “Using multiple models gives our users unmatched capabilities and helps us achieve rapid growth.”

Closely connected with the Swedish tech market, ‘Lovable’ plans to maintain its presence in Europe, though it also has a team in Los Angeles. Ossika has already started investing in other entrepreneurs, serving as a source of inspiration for the Nordic startup ecosystem.
