Bollywood’s well-known actor Sunny Deol has consistently marked success over the past few years. Following ‘Gadar 2’ and ‘Jath’, his latest film ‘Border 2’ has created a sensation in theaters after its release. Prior to release, Varun Dhawan faced criticism from online trolls, but after the release, the film’s success has silenced critics and even led to praise for Varun’s performance.
Yesterday, Thursday, at a five-star hotel in Mumbai, a press conference was held to celebrate the success of ‘Border 2’, attended by Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Sonam Bajwa, Medha Rana, director Anurag Singh, and producer Bhushan Kumar.
Sunny credited his success to his late father Dharmendra and to God.
‘Border 2’ is based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war. The film has earned a total of ₹464.22 crore globally, with ₹377 crore earned in India within 20 days. This marks Sunny Deol’s second highest-grossing film in his career. For Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, it is also their highest-grossing film to date.
Producer Bhushan Kumar mentioned that transparency in box office figures was maintained even before the release.
At the press conference, questions arose about a potential ‘Border 3’. The producer smiled and said, “Border 3 may happen.” When Sunny Deol was asked, he gave a light smile and remained silent, which further fueled speculation about the next installment.
Thus, ‘Border 2’ not only achieved box office success but also won the love and appreciation of both audiences and critics.
