International Desk | PNN:
Over the past week, Russia has intensified diplomatic efforts to intimidate European allies through airspace violations and drone attacks in the Baltic Sea. After threatening Finland, Moscow has now violated the airspace of Estonia and Germany. Earlier, it had sent two dozen drones into Poland.

Analysts view these actions around the United Nations General Assembly session as an attempt to isolate Europe, Japan, and Australia. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump dramatically declared that Ukraine would be able to recapture its lost territories.

Ukraine’s military chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that their forces have halted Russian advances in Dobropillia and Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. From August to September, around 164 square kilometers of territory has been liberated, and seven settlements have been recaptured, he claimed.

However, Russia has also reported some successes. Moscow has announced the capture of Muravka in Donetsk, Novoivanovka in Zaporizhzhia, and Berezove in Dnipropetrovsk.

Despite intense fighting, the territories recaptured by Ukraine show that Russia is not invincible, and Ukraine’s resistance is steadily gaining momentum.
