The undergraduate admission process for the 2025–26 academic year at Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology (RUET) began today, Tuesday (February 17) at 9:00 am. The authorities informed that the admission activities will continue until 3:00 pm at the university campus Guest House and Teachers’ Dormitory.
Today, candidates ranked 1 to 1200 in Group ‘A’ and ranked 1 to 30 in the Architecture Department under Group ‘B’ have been called. Additionally, subject to seat availability, candidates ranked 1201 to 2000 in Group ‘A’ and 31 to 50 in Group ‘B’ have also been asked to remain present on the same day. Candidates under reserved seats for small ethnic communities have also been instructed to participate in the admission process according to their merit position.
During admission, candidates are required to bring a printed copy of the online-filled admission form, original certificates and grade sheets of SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations, the original Higher Secondary registration card, testimonial from the last educational institution attended, two recently taken passport-size photographs, and the admission test admit card. Candidates under reserved quotas have been instructed to submit relevant certificates to the verification committee.
Health examinations are being conducted on the day of admission. For this purpose, it is mandatory to bring a blood group test report from a recognized diagnostic center. Authorities have stated that admission will be canceled if a candidate is deemed medically unfit.
Students who pass the health examination must confirm their admission by depositing Tk 18,500 at the Rupali Bank PLC, RUET Branch located on campus, by 2:00 pm on February 18 after receiving their department allocation. However, if they wish, they may complete the process on the admission day itself by paying the fees at the designated bank.
It is noteworthy that the admission test was held on January 22 at RUET and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) centers. Among 15,567 candidates who participated in Group ‘A’, 7,702 passed, while in Group ‘B’, 274 out of 497 candidates passed. The university administration has taken necessary measures to ensure the smooth completion of the admission process.
