Prominent Names Dropped at the Last Moment, Not Included in Cabinet List

At the South Plaza of the National Parliament Building on Tuesday (February 17), President Mohammed Shahabuddin will administer the oath to members of the new cabinet. A total of 49 individuals have been invited for the swearing-in ceremony by the Cabinet Division.

However, at the last moment, several prominent figures were excluded from the oath ceremony. They include Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Mirza Abbas, Fazlur Rahman, Goyeshwar Chandra Roy, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, Dr. Osman Faruk, Altaf Hossain Chowdhury, Lutfozzaman Babar, Dr. Reza Kibria, Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho, Khairul Kabir Khokon and Barrister Mahbub Uddin Khokon.

The swearing-in list includes 25 full ministers and 24 state ministers. Analysts believe the new cabinet will play a key role in maintaining stability in administrative functions.
