PNN International Desk:
At least 105 Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in ongoing Israeli military attacks on Gaza City. Among them, at least 32 lost their lives while trying to seek aid. Israeli forces are attempting to take control of the city, which is home to over a million people.
Local sources report that the most severe destruction occurred in the densely populated Al-Sabra area, which has been under attack for several days. Palestinians are struggling to survive amid both aerial bombings and severe food shortages. In the past 24 hours, 13 more people have died of hunger, bringing the total hunger-related deaths since the start of the conflict to 361, including 83 since August 22, when famine conditions were confirmed.
On Tuesday, at least 21 people were killed, including seven children, by an Israeli drone strike while standing in a water line in the Al-Mawasi area near Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. This area had previously been designated by Israel as a so-called “safe zone.”
Mahmoud Basal, spokesperson for the Palestine Civil Defense, shared images on social media showing children’s bodies and blood-stained water containers. He said, “They were just standing in line to fetch water. That effort to secure life turned into a new massacre.”
Additionally, at least 10 people, mostly women and children, were killed in Israeli strikes on the Al-Af family home in Gaza City.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu described the attacks as a “decisive phase” of the war, while the international community continues to condemn the escalating violence.
