Since the beginning of this year, OpenAI has been implementing a massive investment plan for its artificial intelligence data centers. Recently, through separate agreements with AMD and NVIDIA, the organization has secured the technology and equipment needed to build its next-generation AI models.
Under the agreement with AMD, OpenAI will receive a significant portion of AMD’s shares and, in exchange, will support new AI GPUs. Meanwhile, under the deal with NVIDIA, NVIDIA has invested directly in OpenAI. Through this investment, OpenAI will be able to purchase NVIDIA equipment directly, considered a preparation for their own “self-hosted hyperscaling” capabilities.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated, “You can expect many more significant deals in the coming months.” He believes that the organization’s future AI models will be even more powerful, and these agreements will ensure long-term financial and operational independence.
Experts note that such investments and partnerships will elevate OpenAI to a new level in technology and infrastructure, enabling the organization to maintain self-control in delivering AI services globally.
