Neymar Omitted from Brazil’s World Cup Qualifiers: Ronaldinho Assures Superstar Will Return Soon

A major debate has started after Neymar was left out of Brazil’s squad for the current international World Cup qualifiers. Fans were surprised that coach Carlo Ancelotti did not include Neymar in the team announced for matches against Chile and Bolivia.

In this regard, legendary footballer Ronaldinho commented, “This is how it is. There’s no going back… very soon he will return and help us become world champions again.” However, he added that Neymar’s comeback will be gradual. In Ronaldinho’s words, “I think it’s a process.”

After Neymar was omitted, many speculated that he might be injured. However, Neymar himself clarified that it was the coach’s “technical decision.” Ancelotti also confirmed this, stating, “He is right. It’s a technical decision. There are many reasons behind it… no one can question Neymar’s technical ability. We are checking his physical condition. This applies to everyone, not just him.”

At the same press conference, Ronaldinho also praised Brazil coach Ancelotti. He said, “Ancelotti has now started his work. I worked with him in Milan. I must say, he is a successful person with a lot of experience. I hope he does the best work and brings the country back to the top.”

Ronaldinho, the 2005 Ballon d’Or winner, played in Milan in 2008, during Ancelotti’s eighth and final season there. That season, Ronaldinho played 36 matches and scored 10 goals, but winning the title was not possible.

In this September squad, not only Neymar but also Vinicius Junior and Rodrigo were omitted due to fatigue from playing in the Club World Cup. Ancelotti used this opportunity to observe new young players.
