New On-screen Pair in “Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka” — Shakib Khan and Tasnia Farin

Four months ago, at the Meril–Prothom Alo Awards ceremony, there was a memorable moment between Shakib Khan and Tasnia Farin. On that stage, Tasnia Farin expressed her wish to act alongside Shakib Khan in a film. At the time, Farin said, “Brother, you’ve done so many movies. I also have one coming soon. Please, can I audition for your next film?” Actor Afran Nisho jokingly remarked, “Really? Now I’ll have to see her work too?” But Shakib Khan replied with a smile, “You won’t need an audition.”

Now, that wish is about to come true. Tasnia Farin is set to star opposite Shakib Khan in his upcoming film “Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka.” She will be one of three leading actresses in the movie. Earlier reports suggested that Indian actress Idhika Paul would be part of the cast, but it is now confirmed that Tasnia Farin has been signed as the second female lead. An official announcement is expected within a few days.

Regarding the project, Tasnia Farin said that she is eager to work with Shakib Khan and that she likes the character offered to her. Initial discussions between Farin and the production team have already taken place, but the director and producers are waiting before making an official statement.

The film “Prince” will be directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud, and Tasnia Farin’s pairing with Shakib Khan is expected to create a new kind of excitement among fans. If the project materializes, it will mark Farin’s first film with Shakib Khan.

Tasnia Farin’s career so far has been highly successful. After proving her talent on television and OTT platforms, she made her big-screen debut in Tollywood with “Aaro Ek Prithibi” (Another World) in 2023. Later, she entered Dhallywood with the film “Insaf,” which was released last Eid-ul-Azha.

Now, with her first major film alongside Shakib Khan — “Prince” — she is expected to open a new chapter in her cinematic journey.
