Staff Report: PNN
Following a recent ceasefire in the Middle East, global energy supply conditions have somewhat stabilized.
Several LNG and LPG carrying vessels are entering Bangladesh to maintain fuel supply stability.
According to Chattogram Port sources, at least five fuel vessels are expected to arrive by April 15.
One LPG carrier from Malaysia and a large LNG vessel from the United States are expected to dock at Moheshkhali floating terminal.
A total of nine LNG shipments are planned for this month.
Each ship carries around 69,000–70,000 tons of gas.
Officials say imports have helped stabilize electricity and industrial gas supply.
Experts warn that global instability could still create future risks.
