Microsoft Launches New AI Feature 'Copilot Vision' for Windows Users

Microsoft is set to introduce a groundbreaking AI-powered feature for Windows users, named ‘Copilot Vision’, which will allow users to receive real-time, context-aware assistance simply by speaking—no need to click, type, or scroll. This innovation closely resembles Google’s Gemini Live and is expected to redefine how users interact with their operating system.

According to Microsoft, Copilot Vision will be capable of observing the content displayed on a user’s screen—including apps, documents, and images—and providing relevant support and summaries tailored to what the user is currently doing. Whether it's editing photos, managing apps, or summarizing meeting notes, all tasks can be performed via voice commands.

  • Hands-free operation: Users can open apps, edit images, or generate summaries just by speaking to Copilot.

  • Context-aware suggestions: The AI can analyze what’s on the screen (with user permission) and offer tailored support.

  • Daily summaries & task planning: At the end of the day, Copilot Vision can provide a recap of the day's work and suggest tasks for the next day.

Microsoft clarifies that Copilot Vision is an upgrade of its existing AI assistant ‘Copilot’, and it will be made available to both Windows 10 and Windows 11 users—marking a significant expansion beyond the previous Windows 11-only AI offerings.

Currently, the feature is being rolled out to selected users as part of Microsoft’s ‘Copilot Labs’ pilot project. The company believes this AI enhancement will significantly improve productivity, ease of use, and the overall AI experience for Windows users.
