Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Steal the Spotlight at Film Premiere

Hollywood’s talked-about former couple Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck appeared together again on the red carpet. On Monday night, they were seen holding hands at the premiere of the new film Kiss of the Spider Woman. Although they are now ex-partners, their presence clearly reflected mutual respect and a friendly rapport.

Lopez stars in the lead role, while Affleck serves as the executive producer. Speaking to reporters on the red carpet, Affleck said, “I couldn’t miss this. The story is incredible, and Jennifer is truly amazing in this role.”

The film revolves around an unusual bond between a political prisoner and a window dresser, who become captivated by the story of an old Hollywood musical. Lopez plays the role of ‘Ingrid Luna/Aurora/The Spider Woman.’

Lopez and Affleck were married twice in 2022 but separated in 2024. Previously, they had called off their engagement in 2003 and rekindled their relationship in 2021.

During an interview with The Today Show’s Craig Melvin at the premiere, when asked about their divorce, Lopez laughed and said, “Oh, that’s what you were going to ask? Look at this gentleman!” She added, “Things happen, but life goes on.”

Lopez also expressed gratitude for Affleck’s contribution, saying, “This movie wouldn’t have happened without Ben. I will always acknowledge his role in it.”
