A new development has emerged in the 200-crore rupee money laundering case. Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has expressed interest in becoming a government witness (approver) in the case.

During a recent hearing at the Patiala House Court in Delhi, she stated that she wants to fully cooperate with the investigation and is ready to act as a government witness if required.

The court stated that such a decision requires her to formally apply to India’s Enforcement Directorate. The investigating agency will review her cooperation and statements before making a final decision. The court has also issued a notice to the Enforcement Directorate and scheduled the next hearing for April 20.

In addition, the court has granted Jacqueline Fernandez permission to travel abroad from April 24 to May 25 under specific conditions. However, she must continue to fully cooperate with the investigation during this period.

The main accused in the case, Sukesh Chandrashekhar, is alleged to have committed fraud and extortion from inside prison. Investigations further revealed that he gifted expensive items to various individuals using illegally obtained money.

According to investigators, Jacqueline Fernandez also received luxury gifts from him, including expensive jewelry, watches, and other valuable items. However, the actress has stated that she was not aware of Sukesh Chandrashekhar’s true identity or his criminal activities.
