At least 10 members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) were killed in an Israeli attack in Yazd province, Iran. The Iranian news outlet Tasnim News Agency confirmed the report on Sunday, June 22. Several other IRGC personnel were also injured in the attack, though the exact number remains unknown.
Israel claims that since a surprise offensive began on June 13, at least two dozen Iranian military commanders and nuclear scientists have been killed. Tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated significantly since the onset of these strikes.
In a broader campaign, Israel has reportedly carried out airstrikes on at least six airports across western, eastern, and central Iran. According to the Israeli military, these strikes have destroyed 15 Iranian aircraft and helicopters.
A statement published on X (formerly Twitter) by the Israeli military confirmed that both manned and remotely operated aircraft (manned-and-remote systems) were used in these operations. The attacks reportedly inflicted serious damage to Iran’s military base runways, underground bunkers, and fuel-supplying aircraft.
