Senior Lecturer Mohammad Firoz Hasan of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Daffodil International University has been accused of various forms of mental and physical harassment of students. The university administration has already formed a committee to investigate the matter.

According to students, Mohammad Firoz Hasan gives average marks in exams, harasses students during examinations, and exhibits misogynistic behavior. Allegations also include harassment while serving as a hall tutor.

Several students told The Daily Campus that even when they were unwell and attending exams after receiving injections, they were forced to stand for long periods in front of the desk by Firoz Hasan. Additionally, students have reported being given unnecessarily low marks in quizzes and review papers, as well as being subjected to derogatory remarks about female students in class.

Senior Lecturer Mohammad Firoz Hasan responded to the allegations, saying, “I do not agree with these claims. Students have made such complaints after receiving results that did not meet their expectations.”

Professor Sheikh Rashed Haider Nuri, Head of the Computer Science and Engineering Department, stated that the investigation committee and university administration are reviewing the matter and will take necessary actions.
