While large camera bumps have become a common trend to enhance smartphone cameras, Google has taken a different approach. The new budget smartphone, Google Pixel 10A, features a completely flat back design with no camera bump, allowing the phone to rest flat easily—a new experience for users.

The display remains 6.3 inches, as in previous models, but brightness has been increased to 3,000 nits, making the screen easily viewable in bright light. While the display supports a 120Hz refresh rate, the default setting is 60Hz.

In terms of hardware, the phone features a 5,100 mAh battery, ensuring long usage. USB-C charging speed has been slightly improved. However, the processor remains the previous-generation Tensor G4 chip, offering no significant performance upgrade.

As a result, some advanced AI features such as on-device translation, notification summaries, or enhanced app integration are not included in this model. Some features may be added in future software updates.

The camera system includes a 48-megapixel main lens and a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. While the main camera performs well, the wide lens has some limitations. A new “Camera Coach” AI feature helps users frame shots correctly.

Priced at $499, the phone is competitive in the budget segment, directly rivaling devices like the Nothing Phone 4a Pro. Analysts say the main attractions of the phone are the new design, improved battery, and bright display. However, for users of the previous model, upgrading may not be necessary.
