According to the report from Gaza’s Health Ministry, four more people have died due to famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of hunger-related deaths to 197, including 96 children.
The blockade on isolation and fuel has intensified the crisis in Gaza’s hospitals. The United Nations has stated that more than 100 premature babies in Gaza are in “imminent danger” due to Israel’s blockade. A lack of essential fuel is preventing the operation of life-saving medical equipment used to treat these infants.
A UN spokesperson said, “The shortage of fuel is disrupting emergency and life-saving medical treatments in hospitals, posing a severe threat to newborns.”
Healthcare workers and human rights organizations are urgently calling on the international community to ease the blockade and deliver humanitarian aid immediately.
The fragile humanitarian situation in Gaza is worsening, with the death toll rising daily and the future of the children growing increasingly bleak.
