For the first time, entrance exam held at proposed Dhaka Central University

Dhaka: The entrance exam for the Business Unit of the proposed Dhaka Central University was held on Saturday (23 August) from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. In this first-ever exam, nearly 9 students will compete for each seat.

The admissions committee stated that 17,505 candidates applied for 1,885 seats in the Faculty of Business Studies. A total of 16,813 students downloaded their admit cards.

The university administrator, Professor A.K.M. Elias, said, “We have coordinated with the police to ensure security at the exam centers. Students will also assist as volunteers. We hope the exam will be conducted smoothly.”

The entrance exam was held in a multiple-choice format, with a total of 100 marks: 50 marks for Bengali and English, and 50 marks for general knowledge. Additionally, 20 marks will be given based on secondary and higher secondary exam results.

The answer sheets will be evaluated by the technical team of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), and the results will be published online within 2 to 3 days.

The exam was conducted at Dhaka College, Eden College, Titumir College, Bangla College, Begum Badrunnessa College, Kabi Nazrul College, and Shaheed Suhrawardy College.
