The Ministry of Education has instructed teachers, officers, staff, and students to exercise caution while using social media, particularly Facebook. A letter issued by the Secondary and Higher Education Division emphasizes compliance with the “Guidelines on Use of Social Media in Government Institutions, 2019 (Revised)” and the “Cyber Security Ordinance, 2025.”

Violations may be considered misconduct or a threat to national security and could be punishable. All personnel and students under the division must follow these regulations and avoid irresponsible, misleading, or illegal activities online.
