He emphasized that neither voters nor candidates are safe under the current conditions. For free and fair elections, law enforcement must act impartially and strictly. He called for the rejection of extortionists, terrorists, and corrupt elements and urged voters to prevent the use of muscle power and black money.
Highlighting the role of journalists, he encouraged media personnel to report truthfully and impartially, saying the country can move in the right direction if the media stays committed to truth rather than emotion.
Faizul Karim also stressed that without effective action against illegal arms, election security cannot be ensured, and expecting a fair election amid the presence of arms and terrorism is unrealistic. Regarding the potential eight-party alliance of like-minded Islamic groups, he said that the most organizationally strong party would field candidates, specifically mentioning Barishal Sadar constituency.
