Comilla Sadar: Day laborer dies after being hit by a train

According to local sources, the deceased Harun was a resident of Chargram in Noakhali. He had come to Bijoypur Bazaar in Comilla a few days ago in search of work. While crossing the railway in the morning, he was struck by a moving train and died on the spot.

The news was confirmed by the Laksam Railway Police Station. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Jasim Uddin stated that a day laborer had been hit and killed by a train near Bijoypur Bazaar. To verify the incident, the in-charge of the Comilla Railway Outpost was sent to the site. He added that the railway police would take necessary legal action, and the body has been recovered for identification and post-mortem examination.
