To mark the historic ‘July Uprising Day 2025’, the Interim Government's Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has unveiled a commemorative postage stamp, an inaugural cover, and a special postmark. The unveiling ceremony took place on Tuesday (August 5) at his official residence ‘Jamuna’ in a modest gathering.
The commemorative stamp and cover, issued by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications, feature symbolic images of the 2024 historic mass uprising, the national flag, and the spirit of the movement.
Present at the event alongside the Chief Adviser were Education Adviser C. R. Abrar, Liberation War Affairs Adviser Farooq-e-Azam, Industry and Public Works Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan, Environment Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Special Assistant on Posts, Telecommunications and ICT Fayez Ahmad Tayyeb, Secretary of the ICT Division Shish Hayder Chowdhury, and Posts and Telecommunications Secretary Abdun Naser Khan.
In a brief statement during the unveiling, Dr. Yunus said,
“This stamp is not just a piece of paper—it bears witness to a nation’s sacrifice, dreams, and democratic awakening. It has been issued so that future generations do not forget the glorious story of the July Uprising.”
Meanwhile, on the occasion of ‘July Uprising Day’, Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus will address the nation tonight. According to the Chief Adviser’s press wing, the address will be broadcast simultaneously on national media and online platforms at 8 PM.
His speech is expected to carry significant messages on national unity, democratic achievements, and the roadmap for implementing the 'July Charter'.
