In the AFC U-20 Women’s Asian Cup in Thailand, Bangladesh will face strong opponent China in their second group ‘A’ match today at 4 p.m. Bangladesh time, at a stadium in Nonthaburi.

This is Bangladesh’s first appearance in the tournament. In their opening match against host Thailand, they had a promising start but ultimately lost 3–2 after initially leading by two goals.

China’s U-20 women’s team, one of the tournament favorites and winners of the 2006 title, began the tournament strongly, defeating Vietnam 3–0 in their first match.

To maintain hopes of reaching the quarterfinals, Bangladesh must perform well today. Despite the strength of the opponent, team captain Arpita Biswas confirmed that the team is ready to fight and aims to give their best.

The team has been working to correct mistakes from the first match, focusing on positioning, defensive shape, and finishing. The goalkeeper coach emphasized organizing the defense and preventing goals from set pieces. The team has also been gradually adjusting to the weather in Thailand, which should not be an excuse for underperformance.
