Staff Reporter | PNN:
At the rain-soaked Guwahati Stadium, Bangladesh looks to secure a win against New Zealand in the ongoing Women’s World Cup. After winning the toss, New Zealand chose to bat, and Bangladesh has relied on its spin bowlers in the playing XI. Pace bowler Marufa Akter, who impressed with exceptional bowling in the previous two matches, is also playing after recovering from injury concerns.

After one win and one loss in the first two matches, the Bangladesh women’s team is eager to prove their capability in this World Cup. On the other hand, New Zealand lost both of their first two matches by large margins and have not yet built momentum. Bangladesh started the tournament with a win against Pakistan, narrowly lost to strong England in the second match, and a victory over New Zealand today would send a strong message.

Bangladesh Playing XI:
Rabeya Haidar, Sharmin Akter, Nigar Sultana (Captain & Wicketkeeper), Swapna Mustari, Sumaiya Akter, Swarna Akter, Fahima Khatun, Nahida Akter, Rabeya Khan, Marufa Akter, and Nishita Akter Nishi.
