Bangladesh girls face Nepal in SAFF U-17 Women’s Championship

At Changlimithang Stadium in Bhutan, the Bangladesh U-17 women’s football team will play their second-leg match against Nepal today. The match is scheduled to start at 3:00 PM Bangladesh time. In this four-team tournament, each team faces the others twice.

In the first leg, Bangladesh defeated Nepal and Bhutan 3-0 and 3-1 respectively, but lost 2-0 to India. In the second leg, the Bangladesh women’s team aims to win all three remaining matches to secure the championship.

Abul Hossain, assistant coach of the U-17 team, said, “We have completed the first leg. Winning all three matches in the second leg will make us champions. We are working toward that goal. Our aim is not to disappoint the people of our country.”

The Bangladesh women’s team has already won SAFF titles across all age levels, including the senior team. Now, in Bhutan, the U-17 squad is determined to end their title drought in the U-17 SAFF Championship.
