When startups launch their products, traditional business strategies used to guide them. However, with the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, this is rapidly changing.
Max Altshuler, general partner at GTM Fund, said, “Now you can do much more at a lower cost.” He also warned that knowledge of AI combined with basic marketing and business strategies is essential for any successful startup.
Alison Wagonfeld, Vice President of Marketing at Google Cloud, said, “Technical knowledge and curiosity about AI are important, but understanding the core purpose of marketing, analyzing customer needs, conducting research, and communicating creatively are still essential.” AI allows teams to execute tasks faster and set accurate metrics according to targets.
Mark Manara, Head of Startups at OpenAI, mentioned that many startups are already using AI in their marketing strategies. “It is not just about doing more with less cost, but also about performing more targeted actions.” He added that AI has made customer acquisition more precise and effective than before.
Wagonfeld added, “When forming marketing teams, instead of hiring specialists or sub-specialists, priority is now given to candidates with curiosity and a willingness to learn. This is currently the most important quality.”
Analysts believe that while AI enables startups to execute fast and targeted marketing campaigns, general business intelligence, customer understanding, and creative skills remain crucial. By combining AI with human skills, startups can now enter the market more effectively.
