30th Dhaka International Trade Fair Begins 1 January

The 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF) will commence on 1 January at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in East Dhaka. The inauguration will be conducted by Interim Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus. The Ministry of Commerce and the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) are jointly organizing the fair.

Earlier proposals suggested removing “International” from the fair’s name, but the Steering Committee decided to retain it. On 29 December at 11 AM, a press conference will detail preparations, participants, and other aspects of the fair, led by Trade Adviser Sheikh Bashiruddin.

A special attraction, “Bangladesh Square”, will showcase the country’s history, culture, and development. The fair will feature around 320 stalls, with tickets priced at 50 BDT per visitor. Organizers hope the fair becomes a lively commercial and cultural event for both local and foreign visitors.
