The Bangladesh Jewellers Association has announced another increase in gold prices in the domestic market. According to the new decision, the price of 22-carat gold has been increased by 6,590 Taka per vori, now set at 252,409 Taka.
The association released a notice on Wednesday (April 8) stating that the new price was determined in response to increases in both international and local markets for pure gold.

Previously, on April 6, gold prices had been reduced. At that time, the price of 22-carat gold was lowered by 2,158 Taka per vori to 245,819 Taka. Within just two days, gold prices saw a significant increase.

So far this year, gold prices have been adjusted a total of 53 times, with 31 increases and 22 decreases. In 2025, gold prices were adjusted 93 times. Silver has followed a similar trend, with 32 adjustments this year, including 18 increases and 14 decreases.
Traders say that such fluctuations in gold and silver prices may continue due to international market trends and local demand.
