The largest margin was achieved by BNP candidate Dipen Dewan in the Rangamati hill constituency. Running on the ‘paddy sheaf’ symbol, he received 201,544 votes, while his nearest rival, independent candidate Pahel Chakma (football symbol), received 31,222 votes—a difference of 170,322 votes. The constituency has over 500,000 registered voters.
In Rajbari-2, BNP candidate Md. Harun-ur-Rashid won by 169,955 votes, securing a total of 237,254 votes. His nearest competitor, Jamil Hizazi of the National Citizens’ Party-NCP, received 67,299 votes. The constituency has over 550,000 voters.
In Jamalpur-3, BNP candidate Md. Mostafizur Rahman Babul won by 162,053 votes, receiving a total of 206,214 votes. His nearest rival, Md. Mujibur Rahman Azad of Jamaat, received 44,161 votes, with over 539,000 registered voters in the constituency.
In Satkhira-2, Jamaat candidate Muhammad Abdul Khalek won by 150,730 votes, securing 266,959 votes, while his BNP rival Md. Abdur Rauf received 116,229 votes. The constituency has over 535,000 voters.
Additionally, 26 more candidates won by over 100,000 votes, including 24 from BNP, one from Jamaat, and one from the Jamaat-supported National Citizens’ Party (NCP).
Voting took place in 299 constituencies. Elections in Sherpur-3 were postponed due to a candidate’s death. A total of 2,028 candidates contested the elections, with results declared for 297 constituencies. According to the announced results, BNP and its allies won 212 seats, Jamaat-e-Islami and its allies 77 seats, Islami Andolan Bangladesh 1 seat, and independent candidates 7 seats. Results for two constituencies remain pending due to legal complications.
